attending the conference were zhao linbin, director of the group standard department of china association for standardization, tan qianqian, general manager of home appliances business department of jd home appliances division, wu xiaoli, deputy chief engineer of china home appliances research institute, pei dongmin, deputy general manager of home appliances division of all view cloud, and heads of key dehumidifier brands.
at the conference, jd home appliances and china household electrical appliances research institute formally launched a new group standard for household dehumidifiers. the new standard, based on a series of previous quality indicators, focused on weak points of the industry and formulated formal definitions of two core indicators of dehumidification area and silence level of the dehumidifier. the two definition serve as a new benchmark measurements for dehumidifier products. this further establishes the norms of the industry and will help meet consumer needs for lifestyles of high quality.
based on big data related to consumption statistics from the third-party platform of all view cloud, the market inventories of dehumidifiers have been growing at a rapid rate in the last five years, in spite the fact that the market is still on the stage of cultivation.

as laboratory tests show, the standby power of dehumidifiers that meets the new group standard without built-in sensors, wifi, and bluetooth functions may not exceed 2w and that of products with the mentioned functions may not exceed 5w. in terms of noise classification, the new group standard has set limit for products of high quality, which sets a higher threshold for the industry and dehumidifier companies.
in addition, the new group standard also defines the recommended dehumidification areas for different dehumidification amounts, providing a reliable criterion as to the relationship between the dehumidification amount and the dehumidification area, an issue cared about by consumers. the new standard has been highly recognized by industry insiders and dehumidifier companies. as the mainstream domestic dehumidifier brand, deye took the lead in completing the testing of the new group standard for all its products.
